Chalk It Up
We are really excited and having fun getting ready for the 30th anniversary of local Art & Music Festival, Chalk It Up 2020. Natomas Garden & Arts Club has been a regular supporter and participant in this important community event which brings together all kinds of artists, businesses, organizations to benefit Youth in Arts. This year our theme is "Trees", so appropriate for Sacramento whose nickname is "City of Trees". For the past couple of weeks we have been hard at work sharpening both our chalking skills as well as our tree knowledge. Like to improve your own chalk skills? The NGAC has hosted three Make ‘n Take events. At the first event in December 2018, participants created earrings and/or decoupage eggs. The two events at the end of 2019 primarily involved rock painting, but attendees could also decoupage fabric onto a switch plate cover. All of the events were a lot of fun for everyone.
